Wind – Shield is a device that allows you to save diesel used in trucks.

Unlike fuel additives, which did not prove to be efficient in fuel saving, Wind-Shield ensures an increased aerodynamics and less air resistance, resulting in savings of diesel and consequently your money. Wind – Shield is designed to fit several trailer types: Dry Vans, Reefers and moving trailers. Wind-Shield can also be used in between trailers in double and triple combinations.

This device does not require making any adjustments to the body in order to increase aerodynamics. The effect is reached by covering up areas between the truck cabin and the trailer both, the top and on each side via spoilers.

Money saver

Imagine the truck driving along the freeway. As it moves, its cabin splits the air creating the backwash behind the cabin. The air, vigorously pulled inwards behind the cabin, hit the trailer with a tremendous power, which significantly slows down the movement. By covering up the area between the cabin and the trailer, we are ensuring the solidity and better streamlining, and as a result we decrease the air resistance, increase the aerodynamics and consequently save diesel and money.

Technical aspects

The technical solution of this device allows the spoilers’ length to be shortened or elongated in order to keep the area between the cabin and the trailer covered at the time when the fifth wheel is being relocated to distribute the weight upon axels. The device has a moving lock, which moves along the trailer by the means of guide. The lock prevents the spoilers hitting the trailer as the result of forceful air swirls. The versatility of the device allows keeping it installed during the movement of the trailer via bobtail or being towed backwards.

Safety

Due to the folding option of the upper and side spoilers, even a strong wind will not be able to break them. This also provides safety. Wind-Shield is recommended to be manufactured from non-shattering material (avoid using glass).Towing trucks backwards often causes the spoilers to be ripped off due to the upcoming airstreams, which might be dangerous for other drivers on the road.
Wind-Shield spoilers in transferring state are being folded, closely aligning along the back side of the truck cabin. This eliminates them being ripped off by the upcoming airstream. Wind-Shield ensures safety and quality.
